Is the Wallace ASTM certified?
Yes. The Wallace is certified to ASTM F2413-18 for impact (I), compression (C) and puncture resistance (PR).
Is the Wallace OSHA compliant?
OSHA requires protective footwear that meets ASTM F2413 wherever there is a risk of foot injury. Because it is certified to ASTM F2413-18, it meets that requirement. Always confirm any additional rules your employer may have.
Does it run true to size?
It runs about half a size big. We recommend ordering half a size down.
Can I wear it outside of work?
Absolutely. It is styled like a casual boot, so it works with jeans and chinos on and off the job.
How do the removable insoles work?
Each pair includes a leather insole with a 3/4 comfort insole underneath. Remove the 3/4 insole to create extra space and depth for wider feet.
What is Goodyear welt construction?
The upper is stitched to a leather welt that is then stitched to the sole. It molds to your foot over time and makes the shoe more durable than glued constructions.

These safety toe shoes are very comfortable for long shifts and provide excellent protection. The toe cap feels solid without being heavy, and the slip-resistant sole works great on smooth shop floors. Breathable material keeps my feet cool, and sizing was accurate. I would definitely purchase again for workplace PPE.

I work in a tough environment, offshore oil and gas, where 12 hour shifts wear you down. Being on my feet all day requires comfortable work boots. These steel toe chelseas not only provide comfort they hold up against the steel grating we walk on all day. They also look good enough to wear on my days off, I can throw on some jeans and a nice shirt and look good enough to take my girl on the town. I've found my work boots for life. Looking forward to trying other Proxon styles in the future.
